FAQ's
Q. Will I need to contact the utility suppliers to provide my contact details?
A. If we are assisting you with your move, then no. We will contact all the suppliers on your behalf and provide them with meter readings and the bill payers contact details.
Q. What's the property market like at the moment?
A. We will assess the current market and let you know what to expect with regards to availability of property, current rental prices etc.
Q. How long will the relocation process take?
A. You will need to allow a minimum of two days for viewings (one day of research plus one day of viewings). Should you be successful in finding a property on your first day of viewings then you will need to allow an additional 3-5 days for referencing to go through and for payment of monies.
Q. I need to find my children schools, where do I start?
A. When applying to get your children into schools you need to have found a permanent address first. Should you wish to choose the school first, you will have to delay the application process until you have found your accommodation. If the school you have chosen has spaces available, you will be allowed to arrange a tour of the school. We can advise you of the schools within your chosen catchment area, their statistics, arrange the tour on your behalf and assist with the application process.
Q. I want to bring my cats with me from abroad, how?
A. We can assist you with arranging a passport for your pet; notify you of any inoculations required, as well as providing you with a quotation on the cost of flying/shipping them over.
Q. Can you recommend any removal firms?
A. We can contact 3 reputable removal firms on your behalf and arrange for them to contact you to arrange a no obligation quote
Q. Do you know the area well?
A. We are nationwide and have relocation consultants all over the United Kingdom
Q. The property I have chosen does not come with white goods, how can I get these?
A. We can request that the landlord provide these for you. If this is not possible, we can arrange the hire or purchase of these goods on your behalf.
Q. Who do I contact with maintenance issues?
A. At the start of the tenancy we will have provided you with all of the necessary contact details. If we are managing on your behalf, we can call the agent/landlord for you
Q. How do I start a phone line?
A. In some instances we are able to set this up on your behalf. But be warned, it really does depend upon who you talk to with in the phone company. In several cases you will need to contact the company yourself and provide them with personal details, such as date of birth and bank details.
